Review

Though only featuring 11 songs, albeit his greatest hits, Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 is a solid, yet underwhelming set. Still, all the biggest moments are covered, from "Yesterday, When I Was Young," "The Tips of My Fingers," and "Thank God and Greyhound" to instrumentals like "Riders in the Sky" and "Roy's Guitar Boogie." The material is generally pretty strong but doesn't hide the fact that his recorded output hardly seems representative of the considerable talents Clark possesses. No doubt, a good deal of the tracks here could have fared better with a little less production, but for introductions to Clark's music, this isn't a bad place to start. ~ Matt Fink, Rovi
